Zigong West Waterworks is a key project in Zigong City's three-year water supply security action plan. After it started operation in 2021, it supplies high-quality tap water through the city's pipe network. This further solves the contradiction between the urban domestic and production water supply in Zigong City, alleviates the bottleneck of water supply during peak periods, and provides sufficient water resource elements for Zigong's integration into the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle.
With the acceleration of the urbanization process, abnormal water sources caused by human production and life occur frequently. The West Water Plant is equipped with a number of emergency dosing equipment, which can timely address potential water quality problems.
